Cinder Worms Spatting Milk

Arrived into Monomoy today around 9:30 a.m. today. Temperature was about 49 degrees with a stiff wind blowing about 15-20 from the Southwest. Was working a particular flat and around 12:00 noticed thousands of cinder worms on the surface of the flat in the slick of the receding tide. Took a bit of a closer look and saw that they were milking spat. At a certain point, a small snow squall came in from over Nantucket Sound. Turned the sky blue black and about that time most of the cinder worms disappeared.
